The towns of Bedford, Concord and Lexington are located about 15 miles northwest of Boston, near Hanscom Air Force Base and the Minuteman National Historic Park.
As the birthplace of the American Revolution, Minute Man National Historical Park is one of the most significant historic parks in the US. At Concord's North Bridge, located within the park, visitors can see the place where, on April 19, 1775, Colonial militiamen fired the famous 'shot heard 'round the world' and started the fight for independence.
